Curiosity is the new hook.
Two people bump into each other. AirPods get swapped. Suddenly, you are hearing someone else’s world, their music, their vibe, their personality.
It taps into harmless curiosity. It’s relatable, slightly intrusive (in a fun way), and instantly human.
For brands, this is a softer way to tell your story. Instead of explaining who you are, show it through different people, different moods, different use cases. Let people figure it out. That’s what makes it stick.
A fashion label could pair playlists with outfits, a fitness routine could be “swapped” between personalities, and even a coffee order can say something about who someone is.
Because people don’t just want to see your brand. They want to experience it through others, and this format makes discovery feel organic, not forced.

Honesty is the new flex.
This one hits a little close to home. “Yes, I spend a lot on this… but I spend much worse on that.”
It’s slightly uncomfortable, but instantly relatable. Everyone has that one guilty habit.
Leaning into that truth makes the message feel lighter and more genuine. A budgeting app could highlight hidden spending habits, a beauty routine could sit next to impulsive buys, and a food choice could flip from planned to indulgent.
Audiences are tired of aspirational perfection. They connect with brands that get them, flaws, habits, and all.

Familiarity… with a twist.
It starts like something you’ve seen before, a celebrity moment or a music setup. But then, instead of singing, it turns into browsing, shopping, or something totally unexpected.
It plays with expectations. Viewers think they know what’s coming, and they stay to see the twist.
For brands, the approach is simple. Start with something familiar to hook attention, then take it somewhere unexpected. It could look like a concert setup that turns into a product demo, or a tutorial that shifts into something more entertaining. The format feels recognisable, but the outcome is different.
Attention is earned in seconds. This trend keeps people watching because it surprises them mid-scroll.

“Get Ready With Me” isn’t new, but this version focuses on everything in between. The outfit changes, the hesitation, the back and forth.
It’s not about the final choice. It’s about how you get there.
Instead of skipping ahead, it stays in the middle. Trying different directions, showing what almost made it. A styling session can turn into a conversation, a product demo into a comparison, a recipe into a trial-and-error process.
People love feeling involved. When you show the process, you turn passive viewers into active participants.
